Head of UI/UX
Lead the Vision. Build the Team. Shape the Player Experience.
This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional Head of UI/UX to build, lead and scale a world-class UI/UX function for one of the world's most iconic entertainment brands.
More than a leadership position, this is a chance to define the future of player experience across a major games franchise.
You'll have the autonomy to establish and grow a high-performing department, shape long-term strategy, drive innovation, and develop exceptional talent while working alongside some of the industry's most experienced and passionate game developers.
As Head of UI/UX, you will champion player-centred design, define the UI/UX vision across multiple projects, and ensure outstanding experiences are delivered from concept through to launch and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Build, lead and grow a high-performing UI/UX department, including hiring, mentoring and developing exceptional talent.
Define and drive the UI/UX vision, strategy, standards, best practices and workflows across the franchise.
Partner with Design, Engineering, Art and Production teams to deliver intuitive, engaging and accessible player experiences.
Collaborate with Franchise and Project Leadership Teams to shape strategic roadmaps and ensure successful project delivery.
Drive innovation across interaction design, accessibility, onboarding and player journey experiences.
Champion data-informed design by leveraging player research, playtesting and analytics to influence decision-making.
Own departmental planning, resourcing, budgeting and relationships with external partners and vendors.
What you will bring:
A proven UI/UX leader with 5–10+ years' experience in the games industry, including experience operating at a leadership level.
Demonstrable success building, scaling and managing UI/UX teams or departments within a game development environment.
Deep expertise in game UI/UX, player psychology, usability, accessibility and interaction design.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and iterative game development processes.
Experience working with outsourcing partners and external vendors.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and strategic decision-making skills.
Hands-on experience with UX research, usability testing, playtesting and data-driven design.
Knowledge of player analytics and behavioural insights.
Proficiency with UI/UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure or similar.
Bonus points :
Experience delivering large-scale AAA game projects across multiple platforms.
Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity or proprietary game engines.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
