Aardvark Swift is working with Lucid Games as they look for a Lead Online Programmer to join their growing team.

Established for over a decade, Lucid Games is a studio with big ideas and the skills to bring them to life. As the developer of the Playstation 5 exclusive, Destruction AllStars and the vehicle combat game Switchblade, the team has made a name for themselves in the gaming industry. They have also collaborated with some of the world's biggest developers and publishers on some of gaming's biggest franchises.

Your responsibilities…

• Mentor, lead, and support a team of network programmers
• Design, build, and research integrated game engine networking features
• Work closely with the production team to identify and address any risks
• Ensure systems and services are stable, performant, safe, and secure
• Collaborate with other game disciplines to develop robust network and multiplayer features

The skills and benefits you’ll bring to the role…

• Excellent knowledge of C/C++
• Strong understanding of low-level network principles such as sockets, NAT, UDP, TCP/IP
• Experience with higher-level networking systems such as matchmaking, server hosting, and game network services
• Ability to develop and design reusable systems

It's a bonus if you have…

• Knowledge of cloud providers
• Experience with custom web infrastructure
• Knowledge of or experience with Docker
• Web development and deployment experience
