Job description

We are working with Winkel Games to help bring in a passionate Marketing Director to their hyper casual and competitive mobile gaming studio.

Winkel Games are a London-based mobile gaming company founded in 2018 and they create Hyper-casual and E-sports games that are fun to play. Winkel are driven by a fail-fast, test-and-learn culture, and their aim is to foster excellence both individually and collectively. They are looking to deliver their unique and challenging projects with the highest execution.

As the Marketing Director, you’ll be part of an agile team and will be responsible for the organisation’s marketing ventures. You will be working with a variety of experts: senior managers, product managers, growth experts, game designers, and data analysts, whilst developing and overseeing integrated marketing and promotion activities across all channels. 

Your responsibilities…
  • Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to design and deliver integrated marketing programmes, from strategy and messaging, to creative execution
  • Work with internal and external teams to build effective co-marketing strategies and programmes relating to partner IPs
  • Develop KPIs to assess and monitor campaign success and deliver reports for all integrated marketing campaigns
  • Being the key point of contact for all aspects of brand marketing within the team and be a leading expert within the studio on community and player sentiment
  • Supporting the Social Media and PR to grow engagement across channels
  • Create marketing copy for brand, marketing, and communications activity
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5+ years marketing experience in the video game or entertainment industries in marketing or communications
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing and communications, or relevant field
  • Knowledge of gaming culture and digital marketing trends
  • Proven track record of supporting and adding value to business projects through integrated marketing strategy
  • Experience using data and KPIs to assess integrated marketing campaign performance
  • Eagerness to innovate and generate new ideas, whilst eliciting creative ideas from others
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Prior experience supporting a live game service with a global player community
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Trello, and Slack
