Crimson Sky are looking for an accomplished Marketing Director who's passionate about indie games and excited by the prospect of helping steer a young company to exponential growth. 

Crimson Sky is an independent game studio founded in December 2020 that creates episodic visual novels with a focus on character rich stories and authentic relationships.

This role requires a lot of creativity, out of the box thinking and initiative. They've reached a million players with minimal marketing and aim to grow exponentially with the right marketing director by our side. As sole marketer you’ll be working closely with the CEO and team leads to develop and manage sales and marketing strategies for both games, communicating with agencies and consultants where necessary. 

Your responsibilities will include...
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for both games across all of our distribution and social channels (Steam, Patreon,  Discord, etc.
  • Manage performance marketing budget, establishing and maintaining monthly KPI targets (ROAS, CAC, Traffic, Revenue) based on discussed growth objectives
  • Performance monitoring
  • Serve as the marketing point of contact for our company
  • Manage the challenges of marketing an adult-rated game
  • Interview, appoint and monitor marketing and PR agencies
  • Interview, appoint and work with freelancers that help with marketing activities
  • Optimise channel performance
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role...
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Ecommerce, Marketing or a related field of study
  • 5-7 years of experience in the digital marketing space
  • Experience with sales and marketing of games
  • A strong understanding of the consumer / retail environment and competitive marketplace
  • A motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
Bonus points if you have...
  • Experience working with indie games studios
  • A strong grasp of Steam as a distribution platform
