Job description

Aardvark Swift is supporting Sumo Digital's Nottingham studio in their search for a Network Programmer. The studio develops action and racing games for console and PC, bringing character and innovation to everything they do.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery and integration of robust graphical features and associated engine and pipeline functionality, in collaboration with their multi-disciplined development teams. They on a wide variety of projects and tasks, contributing to the development of high-quality performant graphic systems

Your responsibilities will include...

  • Work on a wide variety of projects and tasks, contributing to the development of robust network systems
  • Implement well-engineered, reliable, scalable and maintainable code across a wide variety of projects
  • Follow best practices, development processes, documentation and coding standards
  • Devise innovative solutions to overcome platform constraints
  • Investigate bugs or issues in networking systems when encountered.
  • Mentor less experienced coders in your area of expertise, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Assist in planning your work.

  • Experience working across multiple titles,
  • Demonstrable knowledge of network related systems and architecture
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills,
  • Good communication skills
  • A desire to solve problems,
  • Strong 3d math and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for multiplayer games and games technology
