We are working with ASOBO Studio to hire a Senior Graphics Programmer to strengthen the team behind "A Plague Tale: Requiem" from the pre-production phase.
Located in beautiful Bordeaux, this studio has become a major player in the gaming industry by undertaking ambitious productions and by partnering with several prestigious publishers.
Your responsibilities…
Develop and implement systems and tools used in Engine, rendering, and technology needs such as streaming, world edition, shaders, lighting, particles, and effects
Perform memory and performance optimisations to meet the requirements of target platforms
Provide support to technical artists and other team members as required to utilize the 3D technology correctly and efficiently
Analyse and propose improvements to the existing 3D technology in the engine
Assist and guide less experienced programmers in your team
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
A diploma in computer science (engineering school or similar training)
First-hand experience in a similar position in the video game industry
Strong knowledge of C++ with excellent understanding of multi-threaded programming techniques
Solid understanding of modern GPU rendering pipeline and how to use them efficiently
Knowledge of the DirectX12 or Vulkan rendering APIs
Solid understanding of 3D linear algebra
Experience with modern rendering techniques such as TAA, deferred rendering, reflections, and global illumination
