Job description
We are supporting Romero Games in their search for a Senior Graphics Programmer to join their growing team on a full-time basis. You will help them create key visuals in Unreal Engine to support their cutting edge multiplayer PC and console games. This position can be worked remotely.
Your Responsibilities…
- Designing and implementing graphical features and tools that support gameplay, in collaboration with the design and art teams
- Being responsible for all GPU performance and optimization
- Collaborate with fellow members of the development team to ensure all code matches the requirements of the game design with the technical constraints of the game engine
- Keep up to date on the latest developments in graphics technology
- Plan and estimate schedules for the work required to implement features in a timely manner
- Report directly to the Lead Programmer
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
- 5+ Years Professional Experience in the games industry
- Proficient in C++ and multi-threaded programming techniques
- Expert knowledge of at least one graphics API (DirectX, Vulkan, etc.) including shader development and debugging
- Understanding of how to profile and optimize code for performance and efficiency
- The ability to dive into complex low-level engine systems
- Excellent 3D maths skills
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills

Romero Games also includes sabbatical where at 5+ years, should you choose to take unpaid time for a personal project, they will cover 20% of your pay provided that it is in your area of interest.
