We are supporting Pow Wow Entertainment with their search for a Senior Game Programmer at their brand-new studio.

As a Senior Game Programmer, you will be developing gameplay features, services, and tools. You’ll also identify the technical needs of the project. The studio is searching for an individual with a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, strong communication skills, and a long-standing dedication for games and gaming culture.

Your Responsibilities...
  • Collaborate with a team of professional designers, artists, and programmers throughout all stages of development
  • Ownership of feature development, technical requirements, and the mechanics and tools the team will use to craft games
  • Identify problems or shortcomings in the game’s code base, provide solutions together with the team, and create and maintain guidelines and specifications
  • Answer technical questions and make decisions along with other senior programmers to achieve the best results.
  • Work closely with game designers to optimize gameplay and overall player experience
The skills and responsibilities you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5+ years of development experience for PC or Console with 1 or more shipped titles
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and C++
  • Previously worked on a real-time multiplayer game
  • Understanding of physics in video games as well as the main gameplay systems involved
  • Knowledgeable with multiple programming languages and frameworks whilst not being scared to jump on new technologies
  • Able to write, communicate, and maintain technical specs throughout the game’s life cycle
  • Ability to work in the EU (EU work permit)

  • A strong interest in all kinds of other entertainment trends and other entertainment media
  • Experience with render pipeline, shading, art pipeline and tools, ideally in Unreal Engine
  • Experience in working with SCRUM 
  • Previous experience in other fields of software development
