Aardvark Swift are supporting Smilegate, who are seeking a Tools Programmer to join a team of highly skilled coders.
In this role, you will work alongside the engine programmers to create tools and pipelines needed by the team, whilst fostering a culture that balances productivity, innovation, learning, and healthy communication.
Your responsibilities…
Develop, maintain, optimise and improve their Unreal Engine build and distribution pipelines
Identify and fix issues or problems that affect the development workflow
Coordinate with engine and gameplay programmers to provide solutions that balance rapid iteration with stability
Provide daily support to the team and participate in code reviews
Write clear and maintainable code

Innovative thinker with creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, and iterative environment
Strong understanding of development processes, workflows, and tools
User experience working knowledge is a plus
Previous experience writing tools inside a AAA studio is a bonus
