Lead Game Designer

We're looking for a talented Lead Game Designer to deliver on the design visions for a Liverpool-based, award-winning indie studio.
Their ambition is to deliver the most memorable gaming experiences using the latest and greatest technology.
In this role, you will help to manage the team of designers and design original, fun, and exciting mechanics that support the game’s narratives and themes, as well as inspiring and helping other designers to implement that vision.

Your responsibilities…
- Maintain very high standards to ensure all game features and content embrace the game vision, giving feedback on other’s work across multiple projects
- Identify areas of improvement within existing gameplay features and provide alternative solutions where possible
- Create clear and concise game design documentation with great knowledge and understanding of core loops and what makes games fun
- Create high-quality game pitch documentation that can be presented externally to publishers, investors, and other stakeholders
- Act as a mentor for new or junior designers, as well as for all the members on the development team
- Help create fun playable prototype games, and develop them with the support of other team members
- 7+ years experience in games industry design roles
- Shipped two or more titles in design roles
- Previous team leadership experience
- Strong Unity knowledge, with scripting knowledge being a plus
