Job description

Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, one of the studio behind the much-anticipated Dead Island 2, has the opening for a Tools Programmer at various levels to join their highly talented infrastructure department.

You will be working on the asset and build pipelines for the upcoming Dead Island 2 title, which will be releasing on Next Gen Consoles and PC platforms. Your primary remit will be to keep their game tools on the cutting edge.

Your responsibilities…
  • Reporting to and working on tasks set by the infrastructure director, you’ll be developing and extending tools systems across a wide variety of areas, such as asset validation and processing, Perforce, and build distribution. 
  • Write clear, maintainable, and decoupled code
  • Provide support and solve the problems encountered by their content creation teams, and often moving between tasks to respond to issues in a timely manner
  • Understand and debug other programmers' code, and experience of source control software such as Perforce
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Strong Python/C# programming skills
  • Strong academic background
  • 3D maths, software engineering, and problem-solving skills
  • Tools and pipeline development experience
  • Prior experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, JQuery.
  • Knowledge of frontend web frameworks such as angular.js react or ember
  • Knowledge of backend frameworks such as node.js
  • Understand the various database solutions available such a MySQL, Redis, and MongoD
  • Desire to learn new skills and build on existing abilities
  • Ability to work amongst cross discipline groups in the delivery of shared goals
  • Solid proficiency in  written and verbal English
  • Great communication skills, being friendly, open minded, positive, self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take direction
