We are supporting Well Played Games as they look for a Programmer to join their team as they work on a new, exciting project.
Founded in 2017, the studio is a growing and experienced games development company based in Leamington Spa, which develops a variety of video games for mobile.
As a Programmer on the Well Played Games code team, you will be responsible for the support of the live game and the design and development of new game features, whilst utilising a variety of programming languages and technologies on all aspects of development.
Your responsibilities…
Collaborate within a team and see a whole development cycle, as well as supporting a live game
Show a willingness to learn and support the wider development team when tackling complex technical tasks, driving efficiency, collaboration, and quality, both in and beyond your discipline
Work across the client and server sides of the game, on platform-specific features, as well as tools, simulations, testing frameworks, and other technology
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
3+ experience working with C#, and ideally some experience with other relevant languages such as C++, Java, Objective-C, Go, and NodeJS
Experienced the entire lifecycle of game development and been involved in shipping a game
Prior experience developing for mobile devices/Oss, especially iOS and Android
Proactive and positive attitude to collaboration and learning, and a keen interest in trends in games and technology
Experience working with server/web development or cloud platforms such as PlayFab, Firebase, GameSparks, or Heroic Labs is a bonus
