Aardvark Swift are proudly supporting a AAA studio in their search for a Senior Game Designer!

You will contribute to the creation of an all-out multiplayer shooter by working closely with others within your department to build interesting, exciting, and inspiring gameplay.

As a Senior Game Designer for console, you will help create and deliver best-in-class systems, functionality and input tuning used across multiple experiences in the project. You will communicate the vision through the team, like working in a team and mentor & develop the skills of junior members of the design team.

Your responsibilities...

• Take ownership of features and mechanics
• Create features for console relation such as aim assist, UX, and more
• Ensure implementation is of AAA quality
• Pro-actively work alongside other developers and designers to share and gather essential information and be consistent within your work, generating and maintaining easy to read documentation
• Mentor junior team members of the team

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

• 5+ years of experience in designing gameplay systems and UX for console titles.
• 1 shipped AAA title
• Proven shooter experience
• The ability to work independently as well as working alongside a small handful of other designers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong research & analytical skills

Bonus points if you have...

• Experience and knowledge of UE4/UE5
• Previous experience in AAA game design roles
• Experience in creating multiplayer first or third-person shooters.
• Passion for console games and their approachability for the end user
