Job description

Aardvark Swift is working with d3t in their search for a Senior Programmer. The studio is at the cutting edge of technology and creativity, delivering co-development video game services to their global triple-A clients. 

The studio is part of the Keywords Studios Group, and is continuing to grow as they work on multiple exciting projects at any one time, offering plenty of variety and involvement. Projects they have worked on include; Hogwarts Legacy, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Alan Wake Remastered, Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Assetto Corsa Competizione, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and more.

Your responsibilities…
  • Look at code reviews submitted by other team members
  • Render bugs with an OpenGL to DirectX port
  • Working on a memory allocator for a console title
  • Help junior coders working on other aspects of the title such as input and save games, and be responsible for ensuring they had clear direction in the way they tackle client projects
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a programming position, with experience shipping games or apps from inception to completion
  • Confidence and ability to communicate at all seniority levels
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of reliability and responsibility
  • Can-do and flexible attitude
  • Keen interest in video games and programming
  • Ability and willingness to support junior programmers and other team members as required
  • Fluent in C++
  • Technical bias, with an interest in getting stuck-in to difficult problems every day
  • Experienced and confident working on low-level code in areas such as physics, rendering, memory management and networking 
  • Experience working in multiple programming languages is a bonus
  • Experience working with in-house or commercial game engines is a plus
