Smilegate Barcelona is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be part of a new AAA IP. You will report to the Executive Producer and make sure the team performs effectively, fostering a culture that balances productivity, innovation, learning, and healthy communication.
Your responsibilities…
Help define and refine clear priorities, expectations, and commitments and measurable progress points
Consistently track and confirm project milestones and sprint goals are achieved
Help streamline and adjust project management processes to suit team specific workflow needs
Ensure that planning, communication, and tracking tools are implemented and updated
Assist in defining deliverables and distribution of the team's cycles for sprints and longer-term roadmaps
Clearly communicate project highlights and overall status with both the internal teams and a wide array of internal audiences
Creation of documentation packages required to go through all the approval and certification process phases
Create and coordinate the means to ensure the proper flow of information throughout the project such as meetings, newsletters, mailing lists etc.
Manage aspects of production and special projects including organising playtests, follow-up on legal questions and approvals
The skills and experience you will bring to the role…
5+ years project management experience
Previous games industry experience on AAA projects
Excellent presentation, organization, time management, and cross-department communication skills
Ability to quickly adapt to changes and work effectively under pressure
Able to generate, explain, and present detailed project metrics, schedules, milestone objectives, status reports, and other documentation clearly and accurately
Knowledge of agile project management techniques and best practices
Proficiency in multiple software tools to manage projects and facilitate related communication, including and not limited to JIRA and Microsoft tools
Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
Fluent in English
