We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of Stellar Entertainment, a video game development studio with offices in Guildford, UK and Utrecht, Netherlands. Sitting within the heart of thriving communities of game developers and publishers, they focus on quality and excellence, and their partners and players are always at the front of everything they do.
In this role you will collaborate with your colleagues in Design and Gameplay Engineering to provide support through the architecture, design, implementation, and optimisation of the layer that connects their players, and drives their games. This role can be worked on a Hybrid basis at either the Guildford or Utrecht studio.
Your responsibilities...
Build tools within UE5, along with any necessary work to interface with external content creation tools
Proactively identify the tools that will be needed throughout development of the project
Participate in feature design to assist in the creation of supporting tools and technologies
Improve existing pipelines and tools to decrease iteration times for content creators
Deliver high quality, optimised, and clean code
Guide, coach, and mentor associate engineers
Help with continuous improvement in processes and pipelines
Work on the overall career paths within Stellar Entertainment
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Experience shipping more than1 title, preferably AAA
Deep understanding on game content creation process
Solid understanding of 3D mathematics and physics
Solid debugging and optimisation skills in C++
Unreal Engine 4 or 5 experience
