Job description
We’re looking for a UI Designer to join Flix Interactive, the Birmingham based studio who specialise in Unreal Engine.
Flix offer remote working from anywhere within the UK and they are on the lookout for a talented UI Designer to join their team and create AAA standard, slick and visually striking user interfaces that are easy to use and help to consolidate player satisfaction.

Your responsibilities…
- Create stunning and intuitive user interfaces for AAA games projects, following best practices in user-centred design across a range of visual styles
- Collaborate with Producers, Engineers, Creative Director, and Design/Art teams to understand project requirements and translate them into engaging and user-friendly UI designs
- Ensure content is optimized for real-time rendering applications, in line with quality/performance targets, and compliant with project-specific constraints
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, and previs using industry-standard design tools, effectively communicating design concepts and interactions
- Work closely with your Leads and the Production team to help prioritize tasks, feedback, meet project milestones, and deliver high-quality work
- Problem-solve technical issues and workflow hurdles within your field
- Work with the Art team to ensure consistency, quality and coherence in visual design and artistic direction
- Stay up to date with the latest UI Design and Art trends, tools, and tech that could help the wider team and improve the pipeline
- Conduct usability testing and analyse user feedback to find areas of improvement and optimize user experience
- 3 or more years of professional UE 4/5 experience
- Experience as a UI Artist, Designer or similar, developing for multiple platforms
- Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices, and the ability to apply them effectively in the design process
- Familiar with user research techniques, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions
- Support-focused interpersonal skills, able to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Desire to bring impactful interface design to life in a game environment
- Be based in the UK and have full right to work in the UK
- Strong portfolio of UI designs
- Programming / implementational skills are beneficial but not essential
