Inspired are an award-winning visual effects department, based in the heart of Manchester, looking for a talented 3D Animator to join their growing team!
A world leader in the field of Virtual Sports, Inspired are looking for a talented, creative individual, with strong animation skills and attention to detail. You will need motion capture clean up and blending experience in a similar or related environment, or at university. You'll also have the ability to work well within a team, or handle a project independently, working efficiently and to deadline.
In this role you will have plenty of creative freedom and will also be well supported enabling you to grow and expand your skills.
Your role and responsibilities will include...
Animating characters or animals using a wide range of sporting and games in Maya
Cleaning and blending motion capture data
Producing traditional key-frame animation
Working hand in hand with a team of Animators
The skills and experience you'll need...
Motion capture clean-up and clip blending
Utilising and blending motion capture data in the Maya Time Editor and Motion Builder
Key-frame animation in Maya
Understanding of animation principles, camera animation and shot composition
Custom bones rig building and skinning would also be beneficial
General modelling, lighting and rendering in Maya would be beneficial
Tools such as 3Dsmax, Adobe Photoshop, ZBrush and After Effects/Nuke/Fusion would be highly desirable
Bonus points if you have...
Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail
Fluent communication abilities (written and verbal) and at ease working within a team
Good time management skillset and be capable of working to tight deadlines
Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word would be beneficial
General knowledge/interest in sports would be very beneficial
