International Commercial Director (Remote)
Candidate ideally based within Europe (due to time zones), but open for the right candidate
Overview
Aardvark Swift is partnering with a confidential global marketing and communications group operating across the gaming, technology, and entertainment sectors. The organisation unites several specialist agencies covering PR, events, media, influencer marketing, and social media, and works closely with leading publishers, studios, and hardware manufacturers worldwide.
To support cross-agency collaboration and strengthen their international commercial operations, our client is creating a new senior, cross-functional role: International Commercial Director. This position will take ownership of group-wide commercial coordination, multi-agency RFP management, and oversight of large-scale international campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Consulting & Proposal Coordination
Lead, centralise, and coordinate responses to multi-agency RFPs
Identify and bring together the right internal and external contributors: sales teams, consultants, project managers, and creative leads
Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality of all commercial proposals, both in content and design
Organise and prepare teams for client presentations and pitch meetings
Develop and optimise the group’s commercial proposal process
2. International Campaign Oversight
Supervise cross-agency and cross-market campaign execution, including planning, coordination, reporting, and post-campaign analysis
Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients operating at the group level
Consolidate performance insights to inform strategic recommendations
Recommend improvements to the commercial offer and internal processes to enhance cohesion and operational efficiency
3. Group Business Development Leadership
Shape and implement a cohesive business development strategy in partnership with the sales leads of each agency
Coordinate joint commercial initiatives such as trade shows, industry events, publications, and international roadshows
Build and maintain a transparent commercial pipeline shared across the group
Foster strong collaboration across sales contributors to maximise synergies and shared opportunities
Profile & Experience
5–8 years’ experience in account management or commercial leadership within a studio, publisher or marketing/communications agency
Strong international experience is essential
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder commercial initiatives
Familiarity with the gaming industry is highly desirable
Key Skills
Native or fluent English; additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are an advantage
Strong understanding of communication disciplines: digital, media, influencer, events, and creative
Ability to analyse client needs and propose effective strategic and operational solutions
Excellent coordination, diplomacy, and cross-team collaboration skills
Strong writing, communication, and presentation capabilities
Comfortable working with CRM and collaborative platforms (e.g., Notion, Google Drive, Teams)
Personal Qualities
Highly structured, collaborative, and capable of leading across functions
Curious, autonomous, and meticulous in managing varied responsibilities
Genuine affinity for gaming, tech, and entertainment
