Hello Games, the team behind the hugely successful and ever-evolving action-adventure survival game, No Man's Sky, are looking for a talented Build Engineer to join their team.
The studio are self-funded, self-published, and entirely independent. Whether it’s art, programming, or design, they like people who want to create things every day, who want to find a place to do their best work, and who work well with others.
As a Build Engineer at the studio, will manage and implement additional features to CI build systems, whilst being familiar with all phases of game development.
Your responsibilities…

As a Build Engineer at the studio, will manage and implement additional features to CI build systems, whilst being familiar with all phases of game development.
Your responsibilities…
- Manage and optimise distributed build systems
- Manage code compilation across multiple platforms
- Add time saving features to in game editors and custom engine
- Implement and improve artist tools, plugins, and asset pipeline
- 4+ years of professional build engineer experience within the games industry, in C++ or a similar language
- Experience of deployment over multiple platforms
- Demonstrated ability to self-direct, and drive work to completion
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work closely with a team of peers
- Detailed knowledge of source control to merge branches
