Job description

Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, the developer of the smash hit Dead Island 2, has an exciting opportunity for a Development Director to join their highly talented production team.

This is an exciting new role, where you will be a key partner to the Executive Producer, with a focus on managing and supporting the development of the production team. You’ll also be planning the process across the project, ensuring timely delivery of another high-quality project with a collaborative team.
 
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Full life-cycle development as a director or producer with 12 years’ minimum in games, preferably with 6 years as a development director, senior producer, or lead producer
  • Broad production experience from various projects, preferably in a AAA studio
  • Product and project management experience, and the ability to demonstrate this in writing and practically
  • Experience on a project with at least 50 people and with the ability negotiate where needed
  • Have worked on multiple games and varied studios
  • Experience in managing and improving the creative process
  • Analytical and critical thinking managing differing priorities, with a sharp eye for quality and can get into detail when required
  • Bigger picture view always, and ability to decision make on strategic topics
  • Strong, clear writing ability
  • Approachability with a good level of experience in different management styles at varying levels
  • Engaging, with management experience of senior team members and coaching successes
  • Good negotiator and collaborator between departments, who looks to solve challenges with a positive approach
