We are looking for an Engineering Manager on behalf of Procreate to drive inter-departmental coordination of a major release or update.
Procreate are an industry-leading creative product company, being a recipient of two coveted Apple Design awards and holding the title as best-selling paid iPad app on Apple's App Store for the past six years.
In this role, you will participate in conversations surrounding product roadmap and strategy, and propose strategies for external product communication. Their ambitious product roadmap is driven by the desire to deliver the best creative software experience for the global community.
Your responsibilities…
Guide a small team of engineers to develop and ship mission critical features, solve technical problems, and define project parameters
Build an understanding of product and the existing roadmap
Familiarise with your tech stack, engineering environment, and existing workflows
Develop relationships with key stakeholders, team leaders, and members of the executive team
Deliver technical guidance for product care
Identify areas for operational improvement and efficiency
Own, lead, and support the execution of a large scale, highly visible project
Work directly with CTO to assign projects and tasks to the right teams and people
Routinely assign tasks, monitoring engineering processes and progress
Work directly with team leads and the executive to ensure product departments (product, quality assurance, testing, and R&D) are aligned

Deep technical experience and proficiency in progressive people management of a team of engineers
Dynamic and responsive ability to make decisions that help achieve company goals, considering the complex nature of the codebase, current engineering capabilities, and the make-up and skill set of the team
People and project management, with the ability to monitor progress and assign tasks to other engineers
Experience delivering feedback and taking part in performance reviews
Emotional intelligence and a calm, self-assured leadership style
Experience as an Engineering Manager in a fast-paced technology, product, or creative company
Deep hands-on engineering experience in relation to UI work or development of custom, in-house rendering technology
