Job description

We’re looking for an Environment Artist to join a London based, crunch free studio and work on exciting original development projects. This role that can be worked remotely from anywhere inside the UK!

In this Environment Artist role, you’ll be creating unique and memorable stylised environments which will help define the game’s environments and bring the game’s world to life.

Your responsibilities…
  • Creating standalone and modular environment assets for use in-game, implementing these assets to build fully realised environments in engine
  • Create environments both with and without concept art whilst adhering to a style guide, maintaining consistency throughout the game
  • Collaborate within a small team whilst taking ownership of visual aspects of the projects
  • Working with a wide range of styles and workflows to make both stylised or realistic assets and environments, depending upon the project’s vision 
  • Work to meet deadlines, whilst adhering to engine constraints and incorporating creative feedback 
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role… 
  • 3 or more years professional games industry experience in an Environment Art role
  • Shipped one or more PC/Console titles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Self-motivating and able to work independently and as a team
  • Professional games experience implementing game ready environments in-engine
  • Experienced with industry-standard software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter, Zbrush, etc  
  • Located in and eligible to work in the UK
