Job description

Airship Interactive is looking to hire a Head of Production to lead and manage their production team as they work across multiple cutting-edge AAA games.

You’ll own the entire production pipeline and collaborate with the COO on project direction, planning and scoping within the production team, whilst ensuring all deliveries meet the required level of quality and deadlines.

Your responsibilities will also include…
  • Resource management for all projects, assigning and pulling assets and talents in response to changing project needs
  • Full oversight and management of workflow efficiencies, risk management and escalations, scheduling, tracking, and resourcing
  • Adapting to change whilst maintaining a credible project plan
  • Monitoring progress against the schedule and budget, being reactive to project creep
  • Guide, develop and motivate direct reports and wider team to deliver exceptional work in a positive, constructive, and enjoyable working environment embedding our company values
  • Driving clear and concise communication channels internally and externally
  • Drive the upskilling and growth of the production teams
  • Set and manage department KPI’s to ensure best in class project delivery

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5+ years’ experience within a managerial role
  • Experience in a client facing role within games preferably AAA projects
  • Experience developing and mentoring a team of Producers and motivating a wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience working within an agile and traditional methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience using Unreal, Unity, Jira, Shotgrid etc

  • Passion for the technical implementation and tool development
  • A love for video games and an understanding of their future, both from an industry and a technical standpoint
  • Experience within art management and/or outsourcing management within AAA games
  • Previous experience within released titles
