Aardvark Swift has partnered with Toadman Interactive to find their next Lead Gameplay Programmer.
Founded in 2013 in Sweden, Toadman has worked on titles such as Killing Floor Calamity, Escape from Dead Island, Dead Island 2, Bloodsports TV, and Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. From 2017 onward they began publishing their own titles including Immortal: Unchained and opened a Berlin office.
As a Lead Gameplay Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in Toadman's Gameplay team: responsible for leading the direction of the team to create the most thrilling gameplay experiences.
Your responsibilities…
Supervise the Technical Department within our Stockholm studio and actively contribute to recruitment efforts
Provide guidance and mentorship to foster the professional growth and career development of the Tech team
Spearhead architectural design endeavours for projects under your purview
Offer expert technical counsel to Producers, Studio Leadership, HR, and other stakeholders as needed
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership
Strong commitment to personal skill enhancement and knowledge sharing within the team
Proficiency in C++ within the context of game development
Comprehensive familiarity with the Unreal Engine
Bonus points if you have...
Prior experience with Continuous Integration systems, such as Jenkins
Background in console development
Previous involvement in the creation of multiplayer games and/or shooter titles
