We’ve partnered with a company who have been making huge strides in the world of Animation, VFX and game cinematics as they look to bring in an accomplished Lighting Artist to inspire and lead their passionate team to new heights.

Founded by highly experienced Artists and Animators the studio has a rich history going back over 10 years, their work has seen them become an award-winning, international studio, who work with partners around the globe.

Their work is heavily focussed around the games industry, creating cinematics and distinctive content and commercials for beloved franchises. As a collective, they are a small but dedicated team of professionals providing animation and VFX services of the highest quality.

The company works from a state of the art studio located in a cosmopolitan area, that’s one of Yorkshire’s up and coming locations. They offer a range of benefits and provide full relocation assistance and visa support.

Your responsibilities…
  • Inspire the team to Light 3D scenes to establish mood and support storytelling
  • Establish and develop lighting setups that can be used across a sequence of shots across multiple projects
  • Give artistic direction to the team 
  • Composite rendered CG elements and deliver final shots
  • Clearly and regularly communicating with production management
  • Continuing technical knowledge, adapting to new processes and technologies - ensuring your team follow suit
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Demonstrable knowledge of lighting, compositing and shading
  • 5 or more years professional experience creating lighting art in games or VFX
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Strong working knowledge of 3D software
  • Good communication skills and ability to bring departments together for collaboration
  • Good knowledge of cinematography
  • Problem solving skills
  • Able to commute to or relocate to work in Yorkshire, UK
