Job description

Aardvark Swift is working with Rocksteady Studios to locate a Lead Rendering Programmer to join their dedicated and collaborative team to work on their upcoming AAA title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The role involves leading, supporting and providing technical guidance to their team of experienced rendering programmers. Working closely with the Rendering Director and other tech leads, you’ll help to ensure the team delivers the systems needed to create the highest quality game experience for their players in line with the artistic vision of the Art Director.

You’ll also be applying your technical expertise directly by writing code, making optimisations, and resolving complex and challenging issues.

Your responsibilities will be…
  • Leading, supporting, and providing technical guidance for their team of experienced rendering programmers
  • Working with Production to ensure success in hitting their timelines through effective short- and long-term planning
  • Developing rendering features and systems
  • Profiling, optimising, and helping set budgets
  • Producing creative solutions to support content creators
  • Leading by example in development best practices
  • Maintaining and improving team effectiveness and efficiency

The skills and experience you will bring to the role…
  • High level of technical ability, including with C++
  • Professional game development experience on high quality projects
  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of rendering techniques
  • Knowledge of a variety of CPU, GPU, and asset optimisation approaches
  • Self-directed, organised, and able to prioritise effectively

Bonus Points if you have experience with Unreal Engine 4, and/or familiarity with the latest generation of consoles.
