Aardvark Swift are working with an established UK studio who are on the hunt for a Level Designer who is proficient with UE4/UE5.

They're looking for an experienced Junior Level Designer with some AAA experience to step up into this mid-level role.

Within this role, you will contribute to the creation of a new multiplayer shooter IP, and you will proactively work with others in your department to research, build and execute inspiring and exciting levels. Additionally, you will be designing and creating gameplay-first structures using modular kits and adhering to size and scale.

Your responsibilities...

• Proactively work alongside other level designers, design leads and artists to deliver large-scale environments to ensure gameplay and their vision and kept in mind
• Act on feedback from Lead and other designers to ensure the quality bar is met
• Understand core mechanics, project goals and the end target to create strong levels
• Research into the related history and locations portrayed in the level
• Prioritize and self-manage to meet deadlines

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

• Experience and knowledge of UE4/UE5
• AAA experience
• The ability to work independently as well as working alongside other level designers
• Be proactive in communicating progress and solving problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus points if you have...

• Experience with Open World Level Design and sculpting realistic terrain using world composition and other level/world creation packages
• Experience with Maya, Blender, 3DS Max or other industry-standard 3D modelling software
• Strong familiarity with recent shooters and trends of the genre
