Job description

We're working with a London based, crunch free developer, as they look for a Level Designer to join their team and work across two titles, a casual adventure platformer and a horror strategy title giving you plenty of variety in your role.

As a Level Designer, you will make a significant contribution to the game, taking levels from initial design, working with your senior and leads, to develop levels right through to a playable final product.

Surrounded by a team of experienced industry veterans, you'll benefit from their guidance and support as you progress your design work across the studio's two projects.

Your responsibilities…
  • Ensure that levels are well-balanced, engaging, and meet the overall creative vision of the project
  • Take a hands-on approach to designing, creating and fine tuning game levels in engine
  • Collaborate closely with the Code and Art teams to swiftly conceptualise, develop, and refine game levels.
  • Continuously improve game quality, player engagement, balance, and overall experience by regularly playtesting and incorporating feedback
  • Stay up to date with latest industry trends and best practices for level design
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 3 or more years professional experience in a Level Design role
  • Experience working with Unity and/or Unreal Engine
  • Able to self-manage and meet deadlines, working independently but also as part of a team
  • A basic understanding of 3D art and art packages
  • Excellent communication skills in English
