Job description
TT Games, custodians of the LEGO games franchise are looking for a Level Designer to work on a new LEGO title based on a major IP.
As a Level Designer working on the new title, you’ll help set the bar for designing and building high quality levels which support the creative pillars of the game and the IP.
You’ll collaborate with other development disciplines, particularly colleagues in Gameplay Programming and Environment Art to understanding their roles and build positive relationships, ensuring that they are involved in the level design process.

Your responsibilities will also include…
- Working with the Lead Level Designer to iterate on feedback and create levels that met the projects quality standard
- Follow level design best practice, and ensure your work maintains stability and quality throughout development
- Take part in level design reviews, taking on feedback and producing solutions
- Play the game regularly, providing feedback in a clear and constructive manner
- Collaborate with the Production teams and Lead Level Designer to verify estimations, communicating on progress and delivering your work to the agreed quality level and timescales
- Help to foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and respect
- 3 or more years of game design experience
- Experience of working on a AAA title
- A shipped action/adventure title on console or PC
- Experience of scripting gameplay and levels, ideally in Blueprint
- Broad knowledge of game and level design
- An understanding of layout, architectural composition, combat, encounter design, balancing, flow, difficulty, progression, and usability
- An understanding of player motivations and psychology
- Able to describe approaches and techniques that create engaging and fun levels
- Love of creating fun and accessible games for gamers of all ages
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of UE4 and UE5 is a bonus but not essential
