Job description

We’re supporting Sumo Nottingham as they look for a Network Programmer to join their team, working on AAA game projects.

You will be responsible for the delivery and integration of robust graphical features and associated engine and pipeline functionality, in collaboration with multi-disciplined development teams. You can expect to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks, contributing to the development of high-quality performant graphic systems

Your responsibilities will be…

  • Implement well-engineered, reliable, scalable, and maintainable code across a wide variety of projects
  • Follow best practices, development processes, documentation, and coding standards
  • Devise innovative solutions to overcome platform constraints
  • Investigate bugs or issues in the graphics system when encountered
  • Mentor less experienced coders in your area of expertise, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Assist in planning your work


The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

  • Experience of working on multiple titles
  • Demonstrable knowledge of graphics systems/processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Strong knowledge of a modern graphics API, DX12 or Vulkan
  • A solid working knowledge of shader languages
  • Strong 3d maths and problem-solving skills
  • Broad knowledge of graphics pipeline, GPU architecture and graphics techniques
  • Knowledge of profiling tools (PIX, VTune, Render Doc etc)
  • A passion for graphics, games, and games technology
