Smilegate Barcelona are looking for an Outsource Manager who is enthusiastic about the opportunities that outsourcing can bring to a studio.
As the Outsource Manager you will play a key role in the success of Smilegate's future and be involved in multiple areas of the development process. Your role will free up the development Leads to focus on the game and it’s development by taking ownership of this key area for them; empowering the teams internally and externally to co-exist as one, with you as the bridge that helps them reach that goal.
Your responsibilities will include…
Managing day-to-day communication with outsourcers on behalf of the Leads
Creating guidelines to provide to Outsource Teams
Building internal and external roadmaps
Work closely with Production and department heads to ensure deadlines are met
Ensure contracts and guides are correct for external teams
International travel to events and vendors
The skills and experience you will bring to the role…
Excellent industry record - credited on one or more shipped games
Working knowledge of industry-standard software
Impressive knowledge of the current standards of art in the game industry
Bonus points if you have previous experience of project management and Unreal Engine
