Job description

Antimatter Games are looking for a Producer to join their team and work on projects currently in development. 

You’ll work with their dev teams to develop and deliver a world-class game experience for their player base. Working with the departmental leads, you will take ownership for Production of the game project from current development through to delivery and post-release content with a focus for on-time delivery within budget.

Antimatter are looking for a people focused Producer with an outstanding talent for development methodologies, a good understanding of budgets and a passion for working with creative teams.

Your responsibilities…
  • Foster and maintain communication between various disciplines and with partner studios within the studio
  • Schedule sprints and workloads for the team, including risk assessment and management
  • Work with department leads and Product Owners to plan sprint capacity and estimates
  • Communicate with the Game Director and Product Owners regarding sprint scope
  • Jointly manage Associate Producers or Production interns
  • Work with finance and management in the ongoing budgetary process
  • Communicating constraints on demand vs. availability on time/scope
  • Provide oversight on build once candidate for release work is underway - identifying go/no go issues
  • Work with Senior Management to identify potential additional staffing requirements
  • Tracking work that goes overestimate, reassessing scope as sprints proceed
  • Function as a key interdisciplinary point of contact for communication
  • Work to run, manage and track development Project Management
  • Support team members to clear blockers and facilitate best performance from developers
  • Work with Production colleagues to Manage team backlogs and do what’s necessary to deliver high-quality projects in a timely manner
  • Use research and competitive analysis to inform and improve pipeline and process
  • Organise and manage development tracking and report on project progress

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • A strong motivator with a positive, can-do mindset
  • Shipped one or more titles as a Producer on PC or Console
  • Strong experience with software development practices
  • Good understanding of the project budgeting side of the business
  • Track record of managing successful teams
  • Outstanding understanding of version control, ideally Perforce
  • Comfortable in the use of JIRA and other tracking tools
  • Familiar with Subcontractor interaction forecast planning and tracking
  • Positive, proactive, autonomous and self-motivating
  • Organised, calm and an ability to exercise good judgement
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Bonus points if you have production experience on multiplayer FPS titles or single player PC/Console games, and an understanding of Unreal Engine.

This role can be based at Antimatter’s Cornwall office, worked as a hybrid position, with some work from home days, or as a fully remote role.
