We're working with Canadian studio Ape Squared Creative (Ape²) to find a Senior Asset Manager to work on Above.Land, their cutting-edge open world metaverse.

Ape Squared is a highly imaginative creative studio inspired through storytelling and visual excellence in a digital world. Their teams include the talents behind the 2018 award-winning Netflix hit film Next Gen with years of experience working in the film and animation industry. As a creative hub, they dive headfirst into unique entertainment media such as animation, gaming and wherever their ideas take the studio!

Their new project, Above.Land, is set in a magical world above the clouds, home to mythical and colossal creatures and is a place where technology and fantasy blend together and epic adventures await around every corner.

As a Senior Asset Production Manager, you’ll be helping to craft an immersive journey that brings together the best of cinematic and gaming experiences for global audiences and play a crucial role in facilitating the development of the game.

You will collaborate with teams across departments to meet deadlines, handle resources to stay within production limitations, and develop innovative processes when roadblocks are hit.

They are looking for a highly organized and systematic leader with excellent communication, and people management skills. You’ll have an intricate and detailed understanding of the game development process combined with deep knowledge about game business models with a player-centric approach. You are resilient and adapt well to fast-paced, quickly changing situations.

Your responsibilities...
  • Support the game director in achieving their creative vision
  • Work with teams to define and meet project milestones
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to understand the overall game vision and requirements and communicate them across the production team
  • Accountable for crafting and maintaining project plans and schedules
  • Monitor the project budget and overall planning while ensuring the production runs smoothly
  • Recommend and implement new processes where efficiencies are needed
  • Collaborating with other Producers on schedules and to mitigate risks
  • Meet with your team to clarify milestones, prioritize deliverables, give updates, address concerns, provide direction, gather feedback
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5+ years of experience in AAA game production or project management
  • Background in delivering large, complex projects (quality standards, budget constraints and effective team output)
  • Experience using multiple project management & product management tools
  • Strong planning, time management and prioritization skills
  • Enthusiastic for single-player games and the desire to have fun at work
