Deep Silver Dambuster Studios have an exciting opportunity within their highly talented and experienced animation department for a Senior Cinematic Animator. Reporting to the Lead Cinematic Animator, you will be working on the highly successful Dead Island franchise on PC and consoles.

Your responsibilities…

• Work alongside the Animation Director and Cinematic Lead to help deliver the vision for cinematics
• Deliver on high quality cinematic animation at every stage of the pipeline, from the initial concept to final polish and implementation into UE4
• Specialise in full character and facial performance that reflects the narrative and animation direction
• Work with engine to ensure the cutscenes meet the technical requirements
• Work closely with the technical team to help improve our animation pipelines
• Mentor the Junior Cinematic Animators
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

• 1 or more shipped AAA title in a senior position
• Excellent understanding of cinematics, narrative, and character development
• Strong experience working with motion captured data and workflows
• Advanced knowledge of Maya
• Strong keyframe skills
• Solid understanding of the core principles in animation with the ability to adapt to different animation styles
• Good working knowledge of UE4 and the cinematic toolset
• Excellent communications skills to work with other departments
• Good interpersonal and motivational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
