Sharkmob London are working with us to find a Senior Game AI Engineer to play a vital role in shaping the AI systems that will define the gaming experiences from their next generation of AAA titles.
As a Senior Games AI Engineer, you’ll drive innovation in the game AI of Sharkmob's next AAA title, an entirely new IP, collaborating with colleagues in the AI Engineering team to advance cutting-edge AI technology.
Sharkmob is a thriving game developer with studios in London and Malmö, Sweden, known for its dedication to creativity, craft, and innovation. With three years of impactful growth since its inception, the London studio is currently immersed in the development of an ambitious AAA title, boasting a team of over 110 developers and expanding rapidly.
Your responsibilities…
Design, plan, implement, and take ownership of efficient and optimized AI systems
Innovate by exploring new AI architectures and technologies
Work closely across dev teams to breathe life into AI characters and behaviours
Collaborate on procedural content generation tools with other engineering functions within the studio
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Professional experience in games, simulation, or real-time AI
Involvement in one or more shipped products as an AI or Gameplay Engineer
Strong design sensibility
Proficient in debugging and performance analysis
Robust knowledge of C++ programming
Experience working with Unreal Engine
Proficiency with modern game AI systems, including decision-making, perception, navigation, and planning
Desirable but not essential…
Experience working on large-scale open-world games
Experience with procedural content generation (PCG)
