We’re supporting Sharkmob London as they recruit for a Senior Gameplay Engineer to help build the foundations of their Engineering team, as they develop an as yet unannounced ambitious and original AAA IP.
As a Senior Gameplay Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a high quality codebase as well as collaborating across disciplines to create exciting game experiences. You will also be responsible for building roadmaps, identifying and providing solutions to risks as well as helping the team work towards project timelines.
Sharkmob founded their first start-up studio in 2017 and they have grown into a global studio group with offices in London and Malmo and 400+ employees. They are a passionate studio best known for developing the brilliant battle royale game Bloodhunt which is set in The Vampire: The Masquerade universe. Sharkmob are currently on an epic adventure to explore new territory in the realm of AAA online gaming and by joining their team you’ll be part of that journey.
Your responsibilities…
Designing, implementing and iterating new gameplay features
Proactively identify risks, build roadmaps and ensure the team deliver to tight deadlines
Prototype new, innovative and exciting game experiences with the Design team
Work alongside the production team to inform project timelines
Develop game systems that stretch from the network layer, to gameplay, to screen
Collaborate across disciplines to streamline iteration and maintain engineering excellence
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Contributed to one or more shipped AAA titles as a Gameplay Engineer or similar
Proficient in C/C++
High level of understanding of computer science fundamentals, mathematics and the concepts behind developing networked gameplay systems
Developed sense of game design and high quality in gameplay features
Passionate about developing innovative online games
