Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Level Designer to join a London AAA studio and work on their tactical sci-fi shooter title.

As a Senior Level Designer you’ll enjoy a good degree of autonomy and make a significant impact on the project as you collaborate across teams with colleagues in Art, Design and Programming to create immersive and compelling worlds, drawing on your understanding of core systems, mechanics and how best to utilise them in your pursuit of challenging encounters for players.

You will be world building and prototyping brand new content for the game within the Unreal Engine, alongside maintaining and improving existing content and maps and adjusting and balancing new features and mechanics as they’re introduced.

You can also expect to play a key role in defining how the map building pipeline and processes work, helping constant iteration and content creation for a live ops title.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…

  • Experience building multiplayer maps and balancing encounters for first-person shooters 

  • Experience building maps for open world and sandbox games 

  • Experience with Unreal Engine world building tools 

  • Experience working with Unreal Engine Blueprints 

  • Experience in mentoring junior level designers 

  • A strong focus on attention to detail 

  • Ability to thrive within a collaborative environment - both giving and receiving constructive feedback 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
