We are supporting Stellar Entertainment as they look for a Senior Producer to join their team and work on an exciting new IP and re-master being built for Gen 9 consoles and PC.
You will be responsible for working with and leading our developers to build and deliver truly exceptional game experiences that entertain and excite both their teams and players.
Overseeing the agile development process and practice; you are responsible for ensuring teams are aligned and features are thoroughly planned, tracked and delivered to the quality standards you can be proud of. As you motivate and mentor, champion the game's vision, and keep teams balanced, focussed, in control and fully collaborative in pursuit of creating great games.
Your responsibilities...
Work across feature development teams to lock down requirements and specifications and create solid backlog, sprint and milestone plans
Track and implement project improvement plans to drive team efficiency
Provide regular status reporting and capacity plan updates
Identify team issues and suggest solutions related to execution goals
Work with the QA team to help organise the testing of features and content, particularly for upcoming releases
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, making trade-offs and balancing the business needs versus technical constraints
Identify task-related processes to improve efficiency
Define engagement practices and processes
Mentor the Production team and help define and hone the skillset of the Senior Producers
Act as the bridge for company communications between the senior management team and the development teams
Mentor individual contributors within the project team
Manage a multi-disciplined development team
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role...
4 or more years' experience as a Senior Producer or Dev Manager
Shipped 1 or more projects in a production leadership position
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent project management skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
High motivation and capacity to learn new skills
Knowledge of production management tools and methodologies (Scrum / Agile, Hansoft, MS Project or Jira)
Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to think proactively and creatively to overcome technical challenges
