Aardvark Swift have paired up with Deep Silver in their search for a passionate Senior User Researcher to work closely with the Lead UX Researcher and Head of GamesLab to contribute to an organisation-wide research strategy.
You will be working with studios to provide reliable insights that can be trusted and worked on, both on user research and data science/analytics topics, to add value to their projects and move together towards a common goal: create the best games possible.
The GamesLab is structured around two teams of deeply involved experts, each conducting projects in the Data or User Research field. Combining these skillsets into one team allows them to better understand their player's behaviour, needs, and expectations, enabling relevant teamwork with every game studio.
Your responsibilities…

Your responsibilities…
- Representing the lab and a being a research exemplar to maintain positive relationships with internal teams
- Autonomously driving the design, planning, and delivery of research studies
- Working with stakeholders to define their research objectives
- Identifying and guiding stakeholders towards the most appropriate methods for their objectives
- Actively seeking innovation opportunities to improve the quality of outputs of the team
- Conduct research activities, including moderating tests, observing users, analysing findings, and preparing reports
- Mentoring and assisting the development of junior team members
- Maintaining an updated knowledge of the research landscape, pairing insights from multiple sources and sharing your thoughts with the GamesLab team
- 5+ years experience working in Games User Research with hands-on experience running playtests
- Degree in a related field such as Psychology, Social Sciences, HCI, or relevant workplace experience
- Worked closely with stakeholders to define research requirements across multiple projects
- Introduced new process and methodologies to a project team or organisation
- Collaborated with multi-cultural teams
- Mentoring and development of team members
