We are supporting 10:10 Games as they look for a Senior VFX Artist to join their art team.
10:10 Games is an exciting new independent development studio based in the heart of Warrington. They are working on an all-new AAA Funko gaming franchise with NBCUniversal!
As a Senior VFX Artist at the studio, you will be producing high quality VFX for environment, character, and gameplay art, that match the ambition and vision of the studio and project.
Your responsibilities…
Work under the direction of the Art Director and other appropriate discipline leads
Create environmental, character, and mechanic related effects from initial modelling and texture creation to final implementation within UE5
Liaise with art, design, animation, and code teams to fully understand effect requirements and to aid implementation
Ensure consistency of style throughout the project
Research and provide options for effects if required
Aid in the development and enhancement of tools for the VFX team
Where applicable, create assets and documentation for training purposes
Mentor other VFX Artists
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Experience working in a VFX Artist role, preferably with 3 or more shipped games, being credited as a VFX Artist
Excellent knowledge of Fluid simulators such as Niagara Fluids, EmberGen, and Houdini
Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in Maya and other industry standard tools such as Photoshop and After Effects
Good knowledge of in-game effects such as smoke, explosions, fire, and damage
Positive and solution driven mindset, with a strong capacity for problem solving
Solid understanding of animation (timing, pace, and tension) and how to use this to good effect
Ability to adapt to various art styles and genres
Ability to take constructive criticism and adapt to changes
Knowledge of MEL or Python scripting languages is a bonus
