Aardvark Swift are on the lookout for a Senior Visual Effects Artist on behalf of 10 Chambers, the fully funded game studio situated in the picturesque city of Stockholm, Sweden. They're a bunch of ambitious, creative, and collaborative individuals who share a lifelong love for games.
Currently, 10 Chambers is deep into the development of their debut game GTFO, and they've got their sights set on their next exciting project – a cooperative heist FPS in a techno-thriller setting. This project is under the creative guidance of Ulf Andersson, the genius behind Payday 1 & 2.
Now, they're in search of a Senior Visual Effects Artist with a track record of creating, implementing, and optimizing VFX for games. Your role will involve close collaboration with Environment Artists, Gameplay Designers, Programmers, and other talented minds to craft visually stunning and optimized VFX.
Your responsibilities…
Crafting optimized visual effects for real-time rendering
Designing shaders and rendering techniques
Conceptualizing and creating top-notch FX for their games
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Extensive experience in VFX, particularly in the gaming industry (as opposed to film)
Proficiency in creating various effects like weather, smoke, fire, explosions, with a deep understanding of simulation techniques
Skills in developing materials, lighting, and shaders for visual effects.
Proficiency with Unity 3D, Shuriken, Shader Graph, and VFX Graph
Self-motivated, collaborative, and genuinely passionate about your craft
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in English (Swedish proficiency is not mandatory)
It’s a bonus if you have…
Experience in creating and editing HLSL shaders
Familiarity with Embergen and Houdini
