Ballistic Moon are working with Aardvark Swift as they search for an established Systems Software Engineer to work on upcoming AAA games.

With a major project for a renowned publisher, and their own IP on the way, they are creating new genre-defining games in Unreal Engine 5, making it the ideal time to join this established independent studio. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing team of highly experienced and passionate developers, focused on creating the outstanding and amazing games of the future.

Your responsibilities…

• Build and maintain both new low- and high-level systems in multiple key areas
• Upgrade existing systems across the studio’s Unreal ecosystem to support current and future projects
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and other Senior and Leads across disciplines
• Collaborate with design, art and production

The skills and experience you'll bring to the role…

• 5+ years’ experience in C++ software development in video games
• One or more major shipped titles
• Thorough experience with writing modern systems architecture for game engines
• Solid experience with popular modern engines such as Unreal Engine/Unity/idTech/Decima
• Comfortable with owning and managing large portions of a codebase
• Ability to collaborate well across different development teams
• Proficient in the use of modern IDEs; preferably Visual Studio
