Ballistic Moon are working with Aardvark Swift as they search for an established Systems Software Engineer to work on upcoming AAA games.
With a major project for a renowned publisher, and their own IP on the way, they are creating new genre-defining games in Unreal Engine 5, making it the ideal time to join this established independent studio. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing team of highly experienced and passionate developers, focused on creating the outstanding and amazing games of the future.
Your responsibilities…
Build and maintain both new low- and high-level systems in multiple key areas
Upgrade existing systems across the studio’s Unreal ecosystem to support current and future projects
Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and other Senior and Leads across disciplines
Collaborate with design, art and production
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role…
5+ years’ experience in C++ software development in video games
One or more major shipped titles
Thorough experience with writing modern systems architecture for game engines
Solid experience with popular modern engines such as Unreal Engine/Unity/idTech/Decima
Comfortable with owning and managing large portions of a codebase
Ability to collaborate well across different development teams
Proficient in the use of modern IDEs; preferably Visual Studio
