Job description

Firestoke are looking for a passionate Technical Production Manager to join their team of industry veterans to drive business growth and success. 

They want to publish games that bring people together, that can be played with families and friends, and which have a positive impact on their player’s lives. If you are excited by the chance to join a start-up team with big ambitions and strong backing, then they’d love to speak with you. 

The Technical Production Manager will report directly to the Head of Production and be a core knowledge base for the production team. You will organise and oversee code reviews on potential game signings as a part of due diligence checks. Furthermore, you will facilitate communication between external teams to resolve any technical issues that might arise during development, porting, or submissions process.
 
Your responsibilities…
  • Coordinate with the Head of Production to assess and improve internal software needs and related processes
  • Design and prototype time-saving solutions to maximize efficiency across the team
  • Be the team expert on the finer details of console submission and certification (training provided)
  • Work closely with the Publishing Producer to manage the QA process and track bug reports using Jira
  • Support the showcasing of games at in-person and online events by taking the lead on getting builds up and running on the show floor and resolving any ad hoc issues
  • Stay on top of the latest developments in the PC and console industry to ensure our games are built to a strong industry standard
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Degree or work experience in programming, computer science, software development, or similar
  • Experience with game development and knowledge of game engines such as Unity, Unreal, and GameMaker is highly desirable
  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of production processes
  • Highly motivated with outstanding attention to detail and an aptitude for solving complex problems
  • Capable of working independently and within small teams with minimal direction
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication
  • Working understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to apply them in an agile manner to a diverse range of projects
  • Ability and desire to travel to quarterly team meetings and industry events
  • Experience with game development and knowledge of game engines such as Unity, Unreal, and GameMaker is highly desirable
