Job description

We’re supporting Plaion (formerly known as Koch Media) in their search for an experienced Technical Project Manager for Web Development.

In this role you will oversee and manage a wide variety of software projects focusing on Web Development (Websites, Webshops, Web Applications) from initiation throughout release, maintenance, and transition. You will collaborate with both internal and external software development teams, and stakeholders across different departments throughout the organisation.

This position can be worked from Munich or fully remote within in a distributed team.

As a leading and independent producer and marketer of digital entertainment products in Europe and the USA, their business areas include the production of films and games, the purchase and sale of film license rights, the distribution of digital media products and games publishing under the Deep Silver label.

Your responsibilities…
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate project requirements into tangible deliverables
  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined
  • Develop comprehensive project roadmaps that merge stakeholders’ and technical requirements with company’s strategic objectives
  • Monitor project progress and provide dashboards to track performance KPIs, and status reports on measurable milestones and deliverables to relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate proactively with involved project team members providing encouragement, identifying problems, creating solutions, and implementing efficiency improvements
  • Conduct risk analysis throughout the project, capturing the respective mitigations and contingencies strategies, and perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis where required
  • Report to the Lead Project Manager on the project status, including risks or impediments, and morale and performance

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Degree in engineering, computer science, project management or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in working with software development teams
  • Comfortable working in an agile/adaptive project management framework
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • 5 or more years management experience in the IT field, including development work and interactions with stakeholders
  • Experienced in working on Web Development projects (Websites, Webshops, Web Applications)
  • Experienced in using various scheduling tools (MS Project, MS Excel, Jira)

Bonus points if you have a PMP Certification and/ore are able to speak German.
