Job description
Steel City interactive are looking for a UI Artist to join their fast-growing and dynamic studio to work on innovative technology and titles for PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X and PC.
You will take ownership and responsibility for developing features, work with the wider team on planning and delivery and share a passion for games. Your responsibilities will include…
- Help design, create, and implement game User Interfaces using proprietary and middleware UI tools
- Organise, create, and maintain game-ready assets for use in user interfaces, such as logos, icons, fonts, and backgrounds
- Collaborate with Art and Design direction to bring objects from concept to a final polished state
- Co-ordinate with design to achieve desired User Experience
- Communicate with programming team to ensure desired functionality and visual fidelity
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
- Excellent graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Experience creating user interfaces from concept to prototype to final game ready assets
- Experience with screen layout and wire-framing
- Strong pre-visualisation and implementation skills
- Excellent use of typography, composition, and colour theory
- Good understanding of UX design for console and PC
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with Art, Design and Code
- The Ability to adapt to different graphic styles
- Experience with UI work within game engines
- Effective communication skills and comfortable working as part of a team

- Experience with 2D Animation and motion graphics
- Experience with other Adobe products
