Job description
We’re working with the brilliant emerging talent, Warp Digital, to hire a Unity PC Engineer.
Warp Digital are a supportive team with plans to expand and grow over the next few years. The studio functions as a work-for-hire and porting house and is also hard at work on their own IP.
As a Unity PC Engineer, you will work closely with third party developers, and with other members of the team, to port and co-develop titles. You'll be optimising, adding new platform-specific functionality, and updating any PC compliance requirements.

As a Unity PC Engineer, you will work closely with third party developers, and with other members of the team, to port and co-develop titles. You'll be optimising, adding new platform-specific functionality, and updating any PC compliance requirements.
Your responsibilities will include…
- Creating, implementing, and supporting new game features
- Work on and improve the tech stack that the game utilises
- Finding technical solutions for problems and issues
- Optimising and maintaining existing code
- Liaising with other team members to schedule and complete tasks to a high quality
- 3 or more years of commercial experience developing video games on PC using Unity Expert in Unity3D (version 5 or above)
- Expert-level knowledge of optimisation tools and techniques
- Experience working with cross-platform codebases
- Solid understanding of 3D Mathematics, as well as 2D/3D graphics and rendering techniques
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to self-organise
- Written and oral communications skills in English
- Experience porting videogames between modern videogame platforms such as Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC
- Experience of scripting languages such as Python and Lua
- Previously worked with third party middleware such as network, physics, audio, and effects
- A working understanding with Unity HDRP (High-Definition Render Pipeline)
