Aardvark Swift have teamed up with Crimson Sky Games to help expand their team with an Unscripted Marketing Manager. Crimson Sky is an independent game studio founded in December 2020 that creates episodic visual novels with a focus on character rich stories and authentic relationships.
They are looking for an accomplished Marketing Manager who's passionate about indie games and excited by the prospect of helping steer a young company to exponential growth. The studio have reached a million players with their first game, so with the right individual by their side for the release of their second game, they have high aspirations for growth.
Your responsibilities…

Your responsibilities…
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for Unscripted across all of their distribution and social channels such as Steam and Discord
- Manage performance marketing budget, while establishing and maintaining monthly KPI targets (ROAS, CAC, traffic, revenue) based on discussed growth objectives
- Performance monitoring
- Work closely with the CEO, Steam specialist, marketing agencies and team leads to develop and manage sales and marketing strategies for Unscripted, communicating with agencies and consultants where necessary
- Serve as the marketing point of contact for their company
- Manage the challenges of marketing an indie game in the casual genre, actively bringing new audiences to the Steam platform
- Interview, appoint, and monitor marketing and PR agencies, whilst working with freelancers that help with marketing activities
- Optimise channel performance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Ecommerce, Marketing, or a related field of study
- 5-7 years of experience in the digital marketing space
- Experience with sales and marketing of indie games
- Strong understanding of the consumer and retail environment and competitive marketplace
- Motivated self-starter, being process-oriented with high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
- Experience working as sole marketer
- Strong grasp of Steam as a distribution platform
- Passionate gamer, especially regarding visual and narrative based games
- Excitement about targeting casual gamers
