The team at Lava Labs are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join their rapidly growing company.
Reporting to the Art Director, you will be responsible for the UX and UI concepts and design for their upcoming AFAR series of games.
This role is a great opportunity to build something from the ground up without being hindered by an existing design system, and so is ideally suited to either somebody with a history of leading a UI/UX project or somebody looking to take that next step.
Lava labs are a high ambitious studio who are seeking to be the market leaders in web3 and revolutionise and redefine the gaming field of Crypto and Blockchain.
Working on their first game, a third person arcade platform called AFAR (A far away realm) that social and competitive gaming elements that pit players against each other.
Your responsibilities…
Conceptualize and design the game UI, including 2D and 3D HUD + GUI elements, boot-up sequences, loading screens and menus
Assure that game information is well conveyed through the various user interfaces
Work closely with the code team to implement assets into the game and verify the quality of the graphics once implemented
Keep control of assets production, respecting technical constraints and optimization guidelines
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
3-5 years of experience in the gaming industry, specializing in the creation of interfaces and in menu design
Knowledge of UI/UX industry standards and trends
Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation
Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and other creative tools
Familiar with industry game engines Unity and Unreal
