Job description
Supersolid are hiring for a versatile, skilled 3D Artist to join their fast-moving, creative studio, where the people make the studio and their work fun, exciting and productive.
This is an important addition to an already busy and focused team and would suit a junior to mid-level artist used to working in a small team environment.
You should be well versed in mobile game development process and have a strong working knowledge of industry-standard software and have a strong portfolio that demonstrates your skill in producing efficient, well-crafted models considerate to real-time mobile games as well as pre rendered asset creation.

Your responsibilities will be…
- Model, texture, and light real-time assets based on concept design and/or photographic reference using a variety of software and techniques
- Strong knowledge of high-res modelling processes and creation of pre rendered assets
- Help develop and maintain emerging technologies and improved workflows
- The ability to create both organic and hard surface 3D models
- Maintaining a high level of quality within design constraints and balancing real time performance
- Participate with the creative team in asset development
- Analyse polygon requirements and optimize for platforms
- Layout UVs and create hand painted textures
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
- Previous experience in the video game and/or vfx industries using the Unity Engine
- Experience with creating props, characters, environments, lighting, and material look development for real time platforms
- Core knowledge of digital content creation processes including high-poly and low poly modelling
- Good understanding of Materials and/or Shaders
- Proficiency in Maya/Max or equivalent 3D Software
- Experience in creating pre rendered assets in Arnold or equivalent software
- Comfortable working across multiple projects
- Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different levels of seniority
- Initiative-taking mindset, reliable, and passionate about your work
- Bonus points if you have…
- 3D Sculpting using ZBrush
- A background in mobile games
- Have a strong eye for detail and are happy working independently when required
